We have a person -centred philosophy of care at Adel Grange and put the residents at the centre of what we do. We encourage residents to take an active role in the Home seeking their opinions on changes we plan to make and ask them to support us in interviewing new staff to make sure they fit the bill.

We encourage an open dialogue with families and seek to provide holistic approach for each of our residents to ensure that they and their families receive a positive as an experience as possible. We understand that caring for an individual also means supporting their family and supporting contact with them as much as possible. Recently, due to COVID-19 we are no longer able to have our open-door policy. However, we dynamically risk assess each resident to support them as safely as possible to see their family on a regular basis. Each person and their situation is unique and deserves us to support each individual’s visitation plan

My name is Tanveer; also known as Tann by my residents. I have over 20 years of experience working within the care sector, for the last ten years, I have been providing/planning care for those people who are living with dementia. After working in other care settings during my caring career, I feel Adel Grange is a home that provides a high standard of care that you can call person centred. We have a great team of staff, many of whom have been with us for a long time, which I believe contributes a great deal to our homely atmosphere. We have a dog named Paul who is a big part of the home and I feel this also helps in creating a relaxed, home atmosphere.
